Dear Atlas F1 Readers,
It's no news that the economy, particularly in the sector Atlas F1 exists, is currently in poor shape. The downward trend that started last year in U.S. markets has had devastating effects for many companies. The Dot-Com cliché has now changed to Dot-Bomb and many of the Internet based companies are either gone or on the way out. Unfortunately, Atlas F1 is not immune to this current climate. In fact, compared to a company like Yahoo! that will most certainly be able to withstand the brutal flogging by investors and advertisers, Atlas F1 is in a much more fragile situation due to its independence and relative size. Therefore, I am writing you, our most important asset, in order to elicit help. Now, before anyone misinterprets this call for help as an act of desperation, let me say that this request is not on the eve of Atlas F1 disappearing into history. I am not writing you to ask anyone for charity - we are not looking for donations. This is a wake-up call to those of you who enjoy using the Internet, particularly Atlas F1, on a daily or weekly basis, and do so for no payment for the services provided. Unfortunately, the business model for free access to web sites in exchange for banner-ad revenue is not working at present… not for Yahoo!, not for DoubleClick, and not for Atlas F1. What does this mean? Three options: One, Atlas F1 must obtain enough advertising revenue and the business model will not change; Two, we change Atlas F1 from the current business model to a pay-per-view site. Three, we do nothing and go out of business. At this point of time, we are intent on staying with the first option. And, to do this, we are going to need help. To those of you who own a business or who are in a position to make advertising and sponsorship decisions for the companies you work for, we urge you to do business with Atlas F1 now. Atlas F1 and its readers are worth it. Far from the negativism that plagues investment into technology and its unfortunate and irrational tie into the lack of advertising, Atlas F1 is growing bigger and better each and every day. Our readers are intelligent, well educated, extremely loyal, and growing in large numbers. More people are reading Atlas F1 than any Formula One or racing publication in print… by far. If you are in a position to advertise, consider our dominance of content, our outstanding rate of growth, our superiority of services offered, and the fantastic team that puts it together. Let us prove to you the quality of individuals who follow Atlas F1. Above all, I ask all of you to please take the time to evaluate Atlas F1 and its strong position within our market. If you visit here frequently and are enriched by the content, support us. For that matter, support any site that you are enriched by. The days of taking such sites for granted are most likely coming to an end. Thanks for you interest into my concern for Atlas F1. Your help will be greatly appreciated by all of us - the readers and the writers of Atlas Team F1. We are worth the investment.
