Eddie Irvine, the new driver for Ferrari in 1996, had his first test-drive 
in a Ferrari 412T2 V-12 on the Ferrari home-track at Fiorano (IT). Irvine 
didn't drive at Estoril during the tests last week. Schumacher was the only 
one till now to test the car. Now Irvine could get a taste of the Ferrari, of 
course he drove in the old Ferrari because of the problems the team had at 
Estoril last week with the new one. He went round a total of 73 laps and 
came to a best of 1:03.02. 
Irvine was very enthusiastic about the performance and derivability of the 
Ferrari. During the tests in December at Estoril they maybe able to get some
performance out of the new car.
