The chief investigator, Enrico Lorenzini, has denied telling a British newspaper that a badly welded steering rod was to blame for the death of Ayrton Senna. Lorenzini said: "I didn't say that and I'm not saying that.' He added that details of his 700-page report into the crash were sub-judice.
