San Marino management get fine; Irvine tests F310

The San Marino Grand Prix management have received a fine of 250.000 dollars from the FIA because of the track invasion by fans at the end of the 1996 Grand Prix, these events were similar to the ones during the Grand Prix in 1995. Another 750.000 dollars will be added if such things happen again within the next two years.

The FIA also announced the provisional Grand Prix calendar for next year:

Irvine tests F310

Eddie Irvine carried out some tests with the test version of the F310 at the Mugello (Italy) circuit today. He tried out the new high nose construction and was very pleased about it. Irvine set a best time of 1:29.58. He also tried out some new solution on the clutch, but these improvements will not be available in the next Grand Prix.
