Schumacher completed the planned Grand Prix distance at Monza today and the results were very encouraging after the disasters during the last two Grands Prix. Schumacher set a fastest time of 1:25.543. All new parts tested will be used in the German Grand Prix except the new 7 speed gearbox.

The Sauber-Ford team tested for the Grand Prix of Hungary again at the Nogaro (France) track. Frentzen was completed a complete race distance again and tried to improve on his starts. He came to a best time of 1:13.88, half a second faster than yesterday.
