Nicola Larini was testing at the Maranello (Italy) circuit today and broke the fastest time there with a 1m 00.45s. The Italian was testing a new hydrolic system to be used on the 1997 car. Larini covered a total of 90 laps.

Shinji Nakano, the new driver for Ligier, could show his performance with his new team during a Motor Show on the Imola (Italy) track. The Japanese driver covered 32 laps with a best-time of 1m 34.4s.
