The Arrows team seems to have misplaced Damon Hill's seat. A new one was made immediately. Technical director Frank Dernie said: "It's one of the most important parts. We are not too sure where it is. Damon cannot race without one, that's for sure. When you make a new one, you never get it right first time."

Strike emerges at Melbourne

Members of Victoria's Public Transport Union (PTU) at Melbourne (Australia) have voted that they will go on strike for 48 hours staring Friday midnight.

Australian Grand Prix chief Ron Walker said: "It's ruined us as far as the Grand Prix Corporation is concerned, it will cost the taxpayers millions of dollars. We've spent years building up our reputation in the way that we handle people and for me it's an absolute disaster. It's the biggest event in Australia's history, the biggest corporate event in the world, and the unions have gone on strike in a very selfish way."

Last year the public transport was responsible for moving 500,000 people to and from the Melbourne Grand Prix circuit.
