The new Jordan driver, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, accuses Williams' technical director Patrick Head of bad management. After winning only one race with the British based team, Frentzen referred to Head, in an interview with the British newspaper "The Sun", saying: "I always did my best for the team, but at times it did not seem to matter what my performance was like, it was never good enough for Patrick or Frank. Patrick is a brilliant engineer but he has no idea of man-management. He told me early on that he didn't need a good relationship with a driver as long as there was success."

Head denied making a comment as such to Frentzen, and refused to answer any further questions regarding Frentzen's accusations.
