The doors at Tyrrell’s Ockham factory have closed officially today, and Tyrrell Grand Prix Racing no longer exists, after three decades of Formula One racing.

Dr. Harvey Postlethwaite, Managing Director of Tyrrell, departed from the Formula One arena by saying: "On behalf of myself and all the Tyrrell team, I would like to thank our drivers, sponsors and British American Racing for their effort and support this year. I would also like to thank all our team members for their loyalty, unflagging good humour and professionalism. Having to participate instead of compete has not been easy, and sometimes it causes a rage which is difficult to contain. The end of the Tyrrell Racing Organisation gives rise to just a moment of reflection. We are all looking forward to tomorrow."

The Atlas F1 Team thanks Tyrrell for their contribution to motor racing and bids them farewell. The name will be greatly missed.
