This morning at the Fiorano circuit, Luca Badoer shook down two out of the three cars which Scuderia Ferrari-Marlboro will use in the forthcoming Australian Grand Prix, first race of the 1999 Formula 1 World Championship. The Italian test driver made his first run with the F399. He completed a total of 11 laps and a half: 6 with Schumacher's race car (chassis no. 190) and 5 and a half with Irvine's car (chassis no. 191). His best time was 1.03.44. There were no technical problems on the cars, which have been shipped to Melbourne.

Tomorrow morning, Badoer will shake down the T-car (chassis no. 192).
