FIA president Max Mosley has revealed to the English newspaper 'The Guardian' that Tobacco advertising in Formula One is soon history. He stated: "There are a lot of big sponsors who would be more inclined to come into F1 if there weren't tobacco. The idea that F1 will be worse off without tobacco is nonsense."

One of the reasons the FIA is making these comments is because Formula One will have a tobacco-advertising ban in 2007. The European Union wants to ban all tobacco advertising from than on. The European Union still needs to face a couple of difficulties because for one tobacco is a legal product.
