British television channel ITV, which owns the exclusive rights in England to show Formula One Grands Prix, has run into some dispute with The Formula One Administration and its boss, Bernie Ecclestone. No details is currently known, except that the station has announced late last night that it will not broadcast the qualifying session of the French Grand Prix today, as planned and advertised.

In a late Friday night laconic announcement, the station said: "ITV will not be showing coverage of [the] Qualifying session from The French Grand Prix at Magny Cours. ITV would like to apologise to viewers for the lack of coverage, but will be showing the race live and exclusively on Sunday."

At this moment, there is no word on whether today's cancellation will be a one time affair or whether ITV will not be showing any or all of the remaining qualifying sessions this season.

Formula One fans who do not get live or any TV coverage of the qualifying and\or race session, are welcome to join #F1Live for live coverage of the events
