The court appeal of the Italian prosecutor, Maurizio Passarini, against the acquittal of Patrick Head and Adrian Newey from charges of manslaughter in the Ayrton Senna case, will be heard in Italy on November 19th, 1999.

At the original trial, about a year ago, Head and Newey were acquitted, although Passarini had demanded one-year suspended imprisonment for the two, whom he accused of negligently designing and modifying the steering column in Senna's Williams car at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola.
