The Arrows team has announced today at Silverstone that it has closed a deal with engine supplier SuperTec whereby the renault-derived company will supply Arrows with engines for the 2000 season. "Whilst our own Arrows engine has made improvements in both speed and reliability for the 1999 season, I believe that to compete at the front of the grid it is necessary it have an engine which has been developed by a major engine manufacturer,"' explained Arrows owner, Tom Walkinshaw.
