Williams and Jordan to run at Public Displays

Friday September 3rd, 1999

Formula One fans in Ireland and the Netherlands have a unique chance of seeing two leading teams in action this month.

The Williams F1 team is heading to Zandvoort Circuit in Holland this Sunday (September 5th), where. Ralf Schumacher and Alex Zanardi will be on hand to do demonstration laps in the FW21s. The event will be open for the public.

The Jordan Mugen-Honda 199 will run at Mondello park in Ireland on September 19th. The car will be taken through its paces by former Irish Formula One driver and RTE TV consultant, David Kennedy. The car will run at the Leinster Trophy, an event in which many F1 drivers (Hakkinen and Senna amongst them) once competed. Eddie Jordan himself won the trophy 21 years ago. "I am delighted that the Jordan Grand Prix racing car is finally going to run in Ireland," team owner Eddie Jordan said. "It is a dram come true for the team and for all our Irish supporters."
