Ferrari Testing at Fiorano - Second Day

Wednesday September 29th, 1999

Eddie Irvine remains optimistic albeit the disastrous weekend he and Ferrari experienced at the Nurburgring. In his regular post-race column, the Ulsterman claims: "the title is still up for grabs."

On the second day of testing this week for Ferrari, it was Mika Salo's turn to drive today at Fiorano. The Finnish driver continued the testing work begun yesterday by Luca Badoer concentrating on mechanical elements and brakes on the F399. He did a total of 84 laps, with a best time of 1:02.375. Testing ended at 18:30 and tomorrow, Mika Salo continues testing at Fiorano.
