BMW Disappointed with Traction Control Testing

Sunday December 10th, 2000

Williams tested traction control at Jerez last week, BMW motorsport director Dr. Mario Thiessen revealed today.

"We have developed our own traction control system in the last month and we tested it in Jerez," said Thiessen. "Up until then we have never used it. It will take us some time to develop it further."

Thiessen said, however, that the testing did not go smoothly. "At Jerez it was rough, and the traction control did not give much improvement to the car."
