Prost Grand Prix and the Pan-American Sports Network (PSN) announced on Thursday a multi-year marketing and sponsorship alliance beginning for 2001.
The multi-faceted agreement, considered to be worth several million dollars, will provide PSN prominent exposure on the Prost team and establishes plans for joint marketing, promotional and business development initiatives.
"We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Alain Prost and his team and are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship," said Jacques Kremer, President and CEO of PSN.
"I have been in close contact with Jacques Kremer for several months" said team boss Alain Prost. "It was soon clear to us that an alliance between PSN and Prost Grand Prix is a good match, with a huge potential."
While veteran Jean Alesi is already confirmed as the first driver for next season, the PSN deal means than Argentine Gaston Mazzacane, who is sponsored by PSN and who has been linked with Prost during the past weeks, will probably become the team's second driver.
Though nothing has been yet confirmed, an announcement is expected soon.
