Badoer Breaks Fiorano Lap Record

Luca Badoer, Ferrari's test driver, broke Fiorano lap record today, as the team resumed testing yesterday and today.

Yesterday, Badoer tried out various experimental parts. He covered a total of 37 laps with a best time of 1:01.615s. Testing ended at lunch time due to a hydraulic problem on his car.

Badoer continued testing various experimental components today. There were no technical problems and the day's work schedule was completed. Badoer reeled off 80 laps with a best time of 1:00.226s - an new lap record, almost half a second faster than Rubens Barrichello's previous record, of 1:00.712. Work stopped at 17:00. This was the final day of testing at Fiorano.
