Panis Fastest at Barcelona Testing - Final Day

Friday January 28th, 2000

McLaren's Olivier Panis set the fastest time of the day, on the last day of testing at Barcelona. Panis was driving the 1999 McLaren, fitted with various components which the team is trying out for the 2000 car.

Behind Panis was Ralf Schumacher, who was 1.5 seconds faster than teammate Jenson Button. In between them was Sauber's Mika Salo.

World Champion Mika Hakkinen was also present at Barcelona, but did not participate in today's testing.
