Coverage of Japanese GP Improves in Australia

Friday October 6th, 2000

The TV station which broadcasts Formula One in Australia will telecast this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix live in some states.

The Nine Network, after receiving many complaints from angry Formula One fans, will telecast the race live in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.

However, there is no good news for the eastern states of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, as they will still be receiving delayed coverage of the event, due to the clash with the nightly news programme. The timing clash occurred because of an earlier move to Daylight Savings time in those states for the Olympic Games in Sydney.
