Bridgestone's technical director Hisao Suganuma believes work in testing last week has given the tyre supplier perfect preparations for the San Marino Grand Prix - despite poor weather conditions hampering their progress.
Suganuma was happy with the wet weather work performed and added that Ferrari's work at Fiorano has allowed them to prepare a softer compound to cope with the demands of the Imola circuit this weekend.
"Our testing programme last week suffered because of the poor weather," Suganuma said. "It did allow us to do some running on our wet tyres which confirmed their good performance.
"Silverstone also showed how well the intermediates and wet tyres work in relatively low temperatures and at Fiorano we tested different compounds which gave us valuable information for this race."
