Benetton can show their true potential in this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix at Imola, according to technical director Mike Gascoyne.
The Enstone-based team have struggled so far this season, but Gascoyne is confident the first of the European races will be the start of Benetton's season.
"It is good to return to the European races which are, above all, logistically easier for the team, and racing in Italy is always exciting as there is such an excellent atmosphere," Gascoyne said.
"We will be looking to build on the point scored in Brazil which was a good morale boost for the whole team."
Drivers Jenson Button and Giancarlo Fisichella, who picked up a point in Brazil, have struggled this year, but Gascoyne believes that the Imola track will suit the strengths of the B201.
"The engine has showed increasing reliability over the first three races, which should show benefits over the weekend," Gascoyne said.
"We certainly feel the performance of the car under braking and through slow speed corners is good, so the nature of the chicanes at Imola should suit the car."
