Ferrari want to keep their cars' brakes away from prying rivals but are resigned to other teams finding out their Formula One secrets soon.
"We are keeping them warm," technical director Ross Brawn told a news conference at the San Marino Grand Prix with a smile when asked on Friday why the team always quickly covered up brakes when the wheels were removed.
"It's just some things which we've done on the brake ducts and the brakes which we try to keep to ourselves," he added.
"Obviously we won't keep them to ourselves for very long because there is a large number of photographers in the pit lane, so you get photographs taken of everything.
"I'm sure there are photographs of our braking system with other teams, that's the normal process."
Champions Ferrari won the first two races of the season, with the performance of their cars in the rain in Malaysia bringing considerable attention.
