Arrows Confident New Wing will Make Difference

Wednesday August 15th, 2001

Technical director Mike Coughlan has confirmed that Arrows will introduce a new front wing for the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend.

The new aerodynamic aid was successfully tested last week during a limited run and Coughlan has said that the Leafield-based team intend to use it at the Hungaroring.

"The Hungaroring may not suit our car as well as other circuits," Coughlan said. "It is very similar to Monaco in that it is particularly high downforce. Having said that, we have a new front wing, which the team has been testing prior to this weekend and that should give us some advantage."

The Leafield-based team have scored only one point in 2001 thanks to Dutchman Jos Verstappen.
