Toyota drivers Mika Salo and Allan McNish completed a successful test at Spa-Francorchamps on Thursday and were encouraged by the progress made.
The duo completed a two-day test and worked on power steering, traction control, car set-up and aerodynamic aids and were upbeat about the workout.
"I am very happy with this test," said Salo, who completed 105 laps of running with a fastest time of 1:52.00. "The team has worked very well together to try and solve the many problems we've had in recent tests.
"I did around 80 laps on Thursday, which is a good amount of laps for any teams' standards. We did everything we came here to do, and overall the test was very encouraging."
McNish, who set a fastest lap of 1:53.60, was equally satisfied and said: "It was quite a productive test for us. We concentrated mainly on aerodynamic work, but we also tested traction control for the first time, which worked reasonably well."
The team move onto the Nurburgring when they test at the German circuit on Monday and Tuesday next week.
