World Champion Michael Schumacher walked away unscathed following another high-speed accident while testing on Thursday at the Mugello circuit in Italy.
According to initial reports, the Ferrari driver, who already suffered a heavy accident at Monza last month during testing, lost the rear wing of his car while braking at the first turn of the Italian circuit, which is normally approached at a speed of 280 km/h.
The car hit the barriers and came to rest, and a Ferrari spokesperson reported that the four-time champion was fine. It was the first time that Schumacher got back behind the wheel after winning the title in Hungary last Sunday.
As a consequence of the accident, Ferrari have decided not to test on Friday at Mugello.
