Minardi Mourn the Death of Ken Tyrrell

Minardi released a condolences statement for the death of Ken Tyrrell, saying: "Paul Stoddart and the entire European Minardi team are deeply saddened by the news of Ken Tyrrell's death and extend their heartfelt sympathies to Norah, Bob,Kenneth, Alison, and all the family.

"Formula One has lost one of its best-loved ambassadors and a man who remained passionate about the sport of Grand Prix motor racing to the very end.

"Many members of European Minardi staff are former employees of the Tyrrell Racing Organisation, and much of their continuing inspiration undoubtedly derives from exposure, at any early stage, to Ken's enthusiasm, dedication, competitiveness and sportsmanship.

"Most of all, Ken Tyrrell will be remembered as someone who remained a gentleman and a warm human being throughout his life. He is a true giant of the sport and his legacy cannot but live on, providing a beacon to those involved in Formula One in the future. We are proud to have known him."
