 McLaren Extend Partnership with Mobil 1 Friday August 31st, 2001 McLaren and ExxonMobil, who supplies the Woking-based team with fuels and lubricants through its Mobil 1 brand, announced on Friday the extension of their partnership. "We at ExxonMobil are delighted that we will continue our successful long-term partnership with McLaren and Mercedes-Benz," said Steve Pryor, President of ExxonMobil. "Formula One gives our scientists the opportunity to prove new ideas which lead to performance enhancements in Mobil 1." "Over the years Mobil 1 has progressively delivered a measurable performance enhancement to our on-track performance but in some ways it's the recognition of the business values and benefits stemming from our partnership that makes the extension more satisfying," said McLaren boss Ron Dennis. Mobil 1 and McLaren have competed together in 113 Grands Prix, claimed two Formula One Drivers' Championships and one Constructors' title.
