Schumacher Completes Testing at Fiorano

Saturday February 3rd, 2001

World Champion Michael Schumacher continued development work on Ferrari's new F2001 car on Saturday in the third and final day of testing at the team's Fiorano track.

Schumacher has praised the car over the three days as it has run problem-free and he has been allowed to test a variety of new components on the new challenger.

The German driver tested for just under four hours on Saturday as he completed 55 laps with a best time of 58.890 seconds. Schumacher also practised three pit-stops in the session.

Schumacher will continue to test Ferrari's new F2001 at the Mugello circuit on Monday as the champions step-up their work for the 2001 season, which starts in Australia on March 4.
