De la Rosa on Track on Friday

Wednesday February 7th, 2001

Newly-appointed Prost Grand Prix test driver Pedro de la Rosa will get his first taste of the Ferrari-powered car when he tests at Estoril on Friday.

The Spaniard, who was named as a tester for the team on Tuesday, will fly to Estoril on Thursday a spokesperson for the driver said, and will drive the following day.

De la Rosa, who was dumped from Arrows on January 31 in favour of young Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi, preferred to go for a testing arrangement with the French team rather than a race deal with a lesser team.
