De la Rosa Arrives at Estoril for Prost Test

Thursday February 8th, 2001

Pedro de la Rosa arrived at Estoril on Thursday in preparation for his debut test with Prost.

Spaniard De la Rosa, who signed for Prost as a test and reserve driver this week after being released by Arrows, is set to test for the French team on Saturday after delaying his debut for 24 hours.

"Last week was tough," said De la Rosa of his difficulties with the Arrows team. "Signing for Prost is a unique opportunity that has come to me in the best of moments - it makes me feel a lucky man indeed.

"Working with Alain Prost and Joan Villadelprat is a great honour, and was definite for me to decide my future. I think Prost has great potential, and I'll do what I can to help them in development of the Formula One."
