Button Works Alone at Estoril

Monday February 12th, 2001

Jenson Button worked alone at Estoril on Monday as he tested Benetton's new B201 car.

Benetton had been joined by Prost and Arrows at Estoril, but after Arrows' decision to switch to Valencia, Prost also abandoned testing at the Portuguese circuit on Sunday.

British driver Button completed 48 laps as he continued to learn the new car and worked on the set-up of the machine as he posted a quickest lap time of one minute and 21.097 seconds. Giancarlo Fisichella had ended his work in the new car on Saturday.
