BAR Better Prepared than Ever, Says Oastler

Friday February 16th, 2001

Malcolm Oastler, the technical director of British American Racing, believes the team will arrive in Melbourne for the season opener in the best shape ever.

The team have been able to put in a large amount of testing over the pre-season period, and that has given them plenty of data to work from in the first race.

"The information we have collected will enable us to go to Melbourne better prepared than ever before," he said. "It has been a massive effort by the test team and the drivers."

BAR ended their second season in Formula One as equal fourth on points in the constructors' championship. The team will be hoping their preparations will help them to make further steps up the ladder this season.
