Mosley to Stand for Third Term as FIA President

Tuesday February 20th, 2001

Max Mosley said on Tuesday that he will stand for election to a third-term as president of the FIA in October.

Mosley, whose second-term will end this year, said that he will stand for the presidency but did not say whether anyone is standing against him.

Mosley, who started his first four-year term as president of Formula One's governing body in 1993, said if he is re-elected it will be his last term as president.

A decision on the presidency will be made at the FIA World Council's meeting in October.
