Schumacher, Hakkinen and Montoya to Open Season

Reigning World Champion Michael Schumacher, 2000 runner-up Mika Hakkinen, and Williams' rookie Juan Pablo Montoya will open the 2001 season next Thursday, in the first official FIA press conference for the Australian Grand Prix.

The three drivers, who will be among the protagonists of the new season, will be joined by Prost Grand Prix's shareholder Pedro Diniz and Jaguar's boss Bobby Rahal in the initial press conference, which will be held at the Albert Park circuit on March 1 at 15:00 Melbourne time (GMT +11).

Jaguar's Luciano Burti, Benetton's Jenson Button, and Sauber's Kimi Raikkonen will be the three drivers present in Friday's press conference, while Ron Dennis (McLaren), Jean Todt (Ferrari), and Paul Stoddart (Minardi) will be there representing their respective teams on the same day also at 15:00.
