The Arrows team achieved on Saturday their best qualifying position so far this season after Dutchman Jos Verstappen drove to thirteen place on the grid for Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix.
Verstappen, who last year drove a brilliant race to finish in fifth position in Canada, was happy with his performance after outqualifying his Brazilian teammate Enrique Bernoldi, who was only seventeenth today.
"Well I'm happy with the result," admitted Verstappen. "We went quicker than we did in practice and we managed to improve the car throughout the session. Our lap times were consistent and we were able to improve little by little.
"Everyone did a good job today and we're all really looking forward to a good race. It would be good to get a great start tomorrow."
Brazilian Bernoldi was disappointed with his qualifying performance, being unable to complete a good lap during the hour-long session.
"I'm disappointed as I just couldn't put it all together to get a good lap today," he said. "Yes, I am still learning the track, but I was hoping to do better than that. We didn't make any changes to the car during the session as it felt good but it just didn't go my way today."
