Debutant Enrique Bernoldi endured a problematic start to his Formula One career with Arrows after he was denied track time during his first Grand Prix practice session on Friday.
Brazilian Bernoldi's A22 experienced electrical problems in the morning session and he completed just 27 laps during the day. He ended 20th in the timesheets.
"This afternoon's session was better than this morning's as I managed to do more laps," said Bernoldi.
"I hope we can do more running in Saturday's practice sessions so we have a solid base to work from in qualifying."
Jos Verstappen had a more successful day, but still finished in 14th position after concentrating on his Bridgestone tyres choice.
"We started off well as the car immediately felt very good," commented the Dutchman. "We worked on set-up for Saturday, doing long runs to sort out tyre choice, which we've made a decision on.
"I'm reasonably happy with our day's work and think we can improve the car for Saturday," he added.
