Indian Narain Karthikeyan's Formula One test with Jaguar has been postponed yet again after he secured a drive in Japan's Formula Nippon.
Karthikeyan, hoping to become the first Indian to drive a Formula One car, was first scheduled to test with Jaguar in December as part of his contract with the Stewart Formula Three team.
That was postponed to January and then put back again to this week at Silverstone.
But a Jaguar spokeswoman said on Wednesday that Karthikeyan's fresh commitments with Team Impul ahead of the Formula Nippon season start late this month had ruled out his appearance.
Karthikeyan, one of three Formula Nippon rookies this season, will be testing at Motegi in Japan on Friday and Saturday and also next week.
Jaguar said they would be at Silverstone with South African Tomas Scheckter and Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa, their regular test drivers.
