Simulated Wet Testing at Valencia

Friday May 4th, 2001

Four Formula One teams have taken part in a simulated wet weather Michelin tyre test in Valencia. Williams, Jaguar, Prost and Benetton all had drivers at the Spanish circuit for the fourth day of testing where the track was flooded to simulate wet conditions.

The drivers had to come in every ten minutes while the track was flooded as the warm weather was constantly drying out the track.

Times were not taken into account due to the special conditions and were irrelevant except for Michelin's purposes. Ralf Schumacher, Juan Pablo Montoya, Eddie Irvine, Pedro de la Rosa, Jean Alesi and Jenson Button were all present.
