Jordan Sign Deal with Petrobras

Wednesday May 9th, 2001

The Brazilian Petrobras oil company announced on Wednesday it has reached an agreement to supply their products to the Jordan Grand Prix team until the end of the 2002 season.

Petrobras, already supplying and sponsoring the BMW-Williams team, has been working in Formula One for four years, and has now decided to extend its involvement in the sport by also supplying their Lubrax fuel to the Jordan-Honda team.

"I am very satisfied with this partnership with Petrobras and to be able to use the Lubrax products in the Jordan-Honda EJ11," said team boss Eddie Jordan.

"In the battle to win F1 races and to win the world championship, each detail must be analyzed. Our research with Petrobras' fuel will be positive for our performance."
