Walkinshaw Upset at McLaren

Monday May 28th, 2001

Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw has hit out at the McLaren team after his driver Enrique Bernoldi was criticised for holding up David Coulthard during the Monaco Grand Prix.

Walkinshaw was angered at post-race comments blaming his driver for holding up Coulthard, despite the fact their were competing with each other at the back of the field.

And the Arrows team boss said that championship rivals Ferrari and McLaren are wrong to think they have it all their own way in the sport.

"Coulthard was last - are we all supposed to stop now?" Walkinshaw said. "Half the trouble is they don't overtake anymore.

"After the first race there's two people going for the world championship, so everybody's supposed to stop and get out of the road. It's totally disgraceful."
