Three-time world champion Michael Schumacher has admitted Colombian rookie Juan Pablo Montoya reminds him of his early days in Formula One in the attitude he shows towards other drivers.
Montoya, making his Grand Prix debut this season with the Williams team, has made the headlines with his impressive driving, but he has also caused controversy due to his aggressive comments about other drivers, especially about Schumacher himself.
"Sometimes Montoya reminds me of how I was in the early days," said Schumacher. "It really didn't bother me too much what the other drivers represented or what they had already achieved. I was just interested in what they were able to do at that moment in time.
"I don't doubt that, at the time, some people thought I was exaggerating, and so I'm really not in a position to complain if they do the same thing to me, it's normal."
