Toyota Complete Final Test; Submit 2002 Entry

The Toyota Formula One team concluded on Wednesday their final test of 2001 and submitted their entry to take part in the 2002 Championship under the name of Panasonic Toyota Racing.

The Japanese outfit have spent the last two weeks testing at the Paul Ricard circuit, where Mika Salo and Allan McNish completed the final test of the year.

In the 8-month period Toyota have been testing in 2001, they have visited 11 Grands Prix circuits and have covered more than 15,000 kilometres of tests. In accordance with the FIA rules, Toyota's formal application to compete next season means that they have been forced to stop testing as of November 15.

Toyota will unveil their 2002 contender in Cologne on 17 December 2001.
