Mosley to Attend Launch of Tobacco Free Sports

Wednesday November 21st, 2001

FIA president Max Mosley has confirmed that he will attend the launch of the 'Tobacco Free Sports' campaign in Geneva on Thursday.

Mosley will represent the FIA at the event after the governing body announced in October last year that they would support and introduce a ban on all tobacco advertising in Formula One after the 2006 season.

The FIA have stood firm on their policy of banning tobacco advertising in the sport and have since encouraged teams to find different sponsorship.

Mosley will be joined at the launch by representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
