British American Racing have announced that they have agreed a "long-term" extension to their current Bridgestone deal - after being supplied by the Japanese tyre company for the past three years.
"I am extremely pleased to make this announcement," team principal Craig Pollock said. "Tyre development and technology are critical to the sport and I believe that the continuity of our partnership will yield the competitive advantage the team needs to fulfil its racing ambitions."
BAR scored two podium places and amassed 17 points this year - a vast improvement on their point-less haul during their first season with Bridgestone in 1999.
Five teams - Ferrari, Jordan, BAR, Sauber and Arrows - will be using Bridgestone tyres in 2002.
