Arrows Extend Deal with Bridgestone

Friday November 30th, 2001

The Arrows team will continue to use Bridgestone tyres next season and beyond, the Leafield-based outfit announced on Friday.

"Bridgestone is one of our longest-standing partners and the relationship we have with them is very strong as they are as committed to success as we are," said Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw.

"In a time when tyre development is critical to performance it is great to have the continuity in one of our most successful partnerships."

Another four teams - Ferrari, Jordan, BAR and Sauber - will be using Bridgestone tyres in 2002, while the rest will use Michelin. Arrows, who scored only one point in the 2001 season, have been using Bridgestone tyres since the start of the 1997 season.
