Toyota Announce New Technical Partner

The Toyota Formula One team announced on Wednesday they have reached a deal with Japanese tool manufacturer KTC (Kyoto Tool Co), who will become a technical partner of the new outfit.

"We are very pleased to have KTC as a technical partner," said Toyota team boss Ove Andersson. "KTC's reputation for high quality and reliability are proven by their long-term business with Toyota Motor Corporation. We are sure that KTC will play an important role in our success with the F1 project."

KTC, which has its headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, will provide tools for the Toyota team for the next 5 years. Toyota will make their Formula One debut in 2002 after carrying out an intensive testing programme this year.
