Sauber Confirm End of Red Bull Partnership

Thursday October 25th, 2001

The Sauber team confirmed on Thursday they will end their co-operation with drink brand Red Bull at the end of 2001.

The Swiss outfit and the Austrian company had been together for seven years and Dietrich Mateschitz, the boss of Red Bull, said earlier this season that he was planning to sell his 64 percent stake in Sauber for an estimated $33 million.

The announcement comes less than a week after Red Bull confirmed they will continue to sponsor the Arrows team in 2002.
