Michael Schumacher continued Eddie Irvine's Goodyear wet tyre test from yesterday on the Fiorano (Italy) circuit. The German completed 78 laps with a best time of 1m 09.76s under a beautiful clear bleu sky.

It is still rumoured that Jean Alesi is in trouble at the Benetton team after his mistake during the last Grand Prix, when he ran out of petrol. A swap with Jordan driver Giancarlo Fisichella is suggested.

There will be a meeting held in Sao Paulo (Brazil) next Friday between the teams to discuss the Concorde Agreement again. It is hoped that this meeting will result in more unity between the teams.
